Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened 2 cups sugar 2 large eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 3 cups all-purpose flour 2/3 cup baking cocoa 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup whole milk FILLING: 1/2 cup butter, softened 1-1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar 1 cup marshmallow creme 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Beat in vanilla.

Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition.

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 in.

Bake at 375° for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set.

In a small bowl, combine filling ingredients ; beat until smooth.

Spread on the bottoms of half of the cookies; top with remaining cookies.

Store in the refrigerator.
